Band Blast October 7th
Please join us this Wednesday, October 11th for our next Booster Club Meeting. 7:00 p.m. in the band room.
Football Game, Friday, October 13th. It’s Alumni Night and Silent Auction. Call time is 5:30 p.m. in the band room
First Competition is this Saturday, October 14th at Royal High School in Simi Valley. Call time is 12:30 p.m. in SHS Quad. Our performance is at 7:15 p.m. (see itinerary). I don’t see it listed, but cost is generally $8-$10 per person.
New to band families: Parking at these events is limited and gets worse the later in the day you get to the venue. Same is true of the stands. Seating gets extremely limited as the day goes on. That’s due to the fact that the larger bands perform later…and the number of people coming watching them obviously increases. You will have a more stress free experience if you plan to arrive mid-afternoon. If a band is performing when you arrive to the stadium, you will not be permitted to go into the stands until that band in finished (10-15 minutes). Also, SHS parents try to sit together as much as possible…and as close to the 50 yard line. Feel free to sit with anyone in Saugus Blue! Bring something to sit on, it is a fun but long day!
Registration for 2018 Tour to San Francisco must be done by Sunday, October 15th online. There is a $75.00 registration fee due that date. After that you may make payments whenever you like until the January deadline.

Corsair Aviation: 1 One Hour Cessna Introductory Flight Lesson. 45 minute on the ground training, 1 hour in the air. (Estimated value: $200)
Bear Grylls Survival Challenge: 2 Solo Mission Survival Tickets includes survival pack, finisher award, finish festival admission. Course covers 4+ miles of mental and physical challenges. Must Be 18. (Estimated value: $75 each)
Tournament Players Club Valencia: 4 Complimentary Round of Golf with 2 card rentals. Good Tuesday through Friday. (Estimated value: $500)
Volunteer needs: We could use one more person at the Silent Auction table for this Friday’s football game. Starting with West Ranch Competition October 21, we will need Prop Crew spots filled. If you are able to volunteer, please sign up on Charms or let me know! Thanks so much!
Gilchrist Farms Saturday, October 28: Our bake sale should be a huge fundraiser for us this year as we will be in a central location, just across from where the band and color guard will perform, and on a super busy weekend. We are asking each family provide 1-2 dozen individually wrapped items (no frosted items please). We also have to have a card with all the ingredients listed for every item we sell…otherwise we will not be able to sell it. This is according to Gilchrist Farm rules.
Another part of our fundraising at Gilchrist Farms is Chicken Splat Bingo. I will have Bingo cards for sale starting at this weeks’ Booster Club Meeting for $1.00 a card.
